Effective January 1, 2024, the administration of the state’s spending accounts is moving from Optum Financial to Baker Tilly Vantagen. Please see below for important information and deadlines.

**Important notice about your State of Ohio spending accounts**

1/23/2024: If you received a new Optum Financial payment card for your FSA and/or Commuter account, that card is not enabled and should be discarded.

Effective January 1, 2024, the administration of the state’s spending accounts is moving from Optum Financial to Baker Tilly Vantagen. Below are important deadlines to submit reimbursement requests from Optum before your account transitions:

Health Savings Account (HSA): January 31, 2024. You will have access to your Optum Bank HSA account until this date.  Optum Bank will not be transferring your funds to Baker Tilly Vantagen until February 2024. If you do not participate in the group transfer to Baker Tilly Vantagen, your Optum account will be converted to a retail account, and you will be charged a $2.75 per month administrative fee. If you choose to transfer your funds to Baker Tilly Vantagen at a later date, you will be charged a $20 transfer fee.

Due to an error made during an update to the Optum Bank platform, your current HSA payment card has been disabled and you will be receiving a new payment card in the mail by January 12th. HSA funds can still be accessed by submitting a request for reimbursement through the Optum Bank web portal or mobile appWe apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
